The long lists for the 2011 Book Blogger Appreciation Week Awards were posted today. This year there are two different award categories – featured (best written blog, etc.) and niche (best ya book blog, etc.). I was vaguely aware of nominations taking place a few weeks ago but I was super busy and didn’t give it more thought. Then when I received an email informing me that I’d been nominated for Best Written Book Blog I was even more surprised and flattered. The nomination probably made my summer, actually. So a big thank you to whomever nominated Book Harbinger! I know my chances are slim for winning because there are so many well-written blogs out there – nominated or not – but it was such a HUGE compliment to be nominated either way and I accepted the nomination more as a way to bring more people to my blog than actually winning.

If anyone else has been out of it (like me) BBAW 2011 runs from September 12 -16. Remembering all the fun I had last year discovering new blogs, learning new blogging tips, and entering giveaways I really can’t wait! I will be participating in as many daily blogging topics as I can and I hope to offer a giveaway this year. Unfortunately I missed the sign-ups for the interview swap so if there is anyone out there who did too and/or would like to be interviewed, please let me know.
