Coming Soon: Seven Days for Sevenwaters

Flame of Sevenwaters due out November 2012

Since I’ve felt a blogging slump coming on this summer, I thought it would be a good time to mix things up a bit and host my own blog event. I’ve wanted to do this ever since I saw good friends Michelle and Chachic organize and host their own events, Literary Love and The Queen’s Thief Week respectively. Thank you both for inspiring me to think out of the box and outside my comfort zone! It is with excitement and gratitude that I announce Seven Days for Sevenwaters, a week-long blog event dedicated to Juliet Marillier’s Sevenwaters series, one of my favorite series of all time.

The banner was designed by me with much technological help from DH, the image courtesy of Jess B. As you can see, Seven Days for Sevenwaters starts two weeks from today on Monday, September 10 and includes guest posts from bloggers Angie of Angieville, Chachic of Chachic’s Book Nook, Heidi of Bunbury in the Stacks, Li of Me and My Books, Michelle of See Michelle Read, Thea of The Book Smugglers, and a post from Juliet Marillier herself. So now is the time! Spread the word about the event, finish the series, read the books for the first time, or reread your favorite books in the series. I’ll be posting a roundup of Sevenwaters related posts around the blogosphere each day of the event, so get those reviews and/or discussion posts written as well. I can’t wait to see them!

And if anyone wants a button for their sidebar, I’ve got one of those too.

Any questions, comments, suggestions? Let me know in the comments. Until then, Happy Sevenwaters reading!

I’m SO excited for this event, Holly!! The banner and button are absolutely gorgeous (and in my sidebar, of course). I can’t wait to see everything, and reading Son of the Shadows is getting me in the perfect mindset. =)

Thank you! Me and my perfectionist self spent too much time on the event images. Juliet *just* sent me her guest post. *rubs hands together* There is greatness in store.

It’s not the end of the series anymore. There are soon to be the published books that follow as well a the short story. We don’t hav to leave Sevenwaters yet.

This sounds so exciting! The Sevenwaters trilogy is one of my favorite series of all times, and I look forward to reading posts about it. Question: how do I put that awesome button in my sidebar? Thanks!

Me too! Try right clicking it, then save image as to your computer. Then you generate the html code by adding it to a new blog post, which you won’t publish. Just copy and paste the code into the widgets in your blog editor. Let me know if you need any other assistance.

Lol, you’re on blogspot so it might not be the same terminology. But widgets under “Appearance”. Do you see anything like that?

I am a HUGE fan of the Sevenwaters Series especially the first three. I can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for this blog event! I just finished the Bridei Chronicles yesterday, so I’m all hyped up for anything Marillier related. So glad I found this on her facebook page!

Aw this sounds so interesting! I have my copy of Daughter of Sevenwaters waiting for me on my TBR (which I should’ve read during one vacation but I got distracted) and I decided to push it a little later. This makes me think of bumping it up my TBR, but I’m not sure if I can finish it on time! Let’s see. :) I’ll be looking forward to the posts, though! :)
