Armchair BEA: Best of 2011

Some of my favorite reads so far this year:

The Demon’s Lexicon by Sarah Rees Brennan (review)

The Demon’s Covenant by Sarah Rees Brennan (review)

Unsticky by Sarra Manning (review)

The Dark Enquiry by Deanna Raybourn (review)

Raw Blue by Kirsty Eagar (review)

The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley (review to come!)

That’s 2 urban fantasies, 2 contemporaries, and 2 historicals (3 young adult, 3 adult), and 1 published this year.

What about you? I’d love to add some great books to the TBR and hear about the BEA books you’re pining after. Link to your posts in the comments.

I have a copy of The Demon’s Lexicon at home and it’s still waiting for me. I will get to it sometime soon this year. Oh, and again on Raw Blue! :D I will read that someday. :)

I just posted my list here, and surprises, I actually have a paranormal romance in my list. :D

The last book Demon’s Surrender is coming out in June so it’s a perfect time to read the trilogy! *going over to look at your list*

I’m a few chapters into Unsticky and it’s really good so far! Can’t wait to gobble up the whole thing. I’m about to post my own list, still have to tweak it a bit.

Hey Tina, like I said during the meet up, you can borrow my copy of Raw Blue if you want. :)

I haven’t seen the Demon books around, but I want to read them now; they look quite interesting. Stopping in to say hello for Armchair BEA and I’m a new follower. Cheers!

I love those demon lexicon/covenant books! Can’t wait for the next one. One of my faves this year was Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi – YA dystopian and very very well done.

I guess I really should try those Demon Lexicon books again, huh? The first time around didn’t work so well. All of these look wonderful though!

I wish I had been on the ball enough to participate in armchair BEA this year. Maybe next year I’ll be in NY with you tho ;)

And I love your list of favs. Unsticky and the SRB books also make my tops as well. I still need to read the latest Julia Grey tho. I just adore that cover.
