In My Mailbox, Celtic edition

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi of The Story Siren and was inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. This meme is about books that you received or bought during the week.

I was squeeing yesterday when not one but two recently ordered packages of books showed up earlier than expected:

Seer of Sevenwaters (!) by Juliet Marillier (preordered and reason for the squeeing :) )

The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson (which I’ve already read but wanted a copy for a gift)

Celtic Names for Children by Loreto Todd

Hopefully we’ll find a name for DD in the latter. If not I hear it’s a great book for fantasy/historical writers so it may come in handy for DH, who’s been trying his hand at writing a couple of YA fantasy series over this past year.

Get anything squee-worthy this week?

*SQUEE* You have Seer already! I haven’t ordered it yet because I’m still waiting for my Book Depository order. It’s been more than three weeks. :( I hope the books get here soon so I can order again. Oooh that book for Celtic names looks good, I hope you can find a name for your daughter in there.

    • Holly says:

Yes! I was thrilled. Can’t beat the jumping-for-joy happiness you have when you get your hands on a new release from one of your fav authors. :) Hope your BD books arrive soon! This Celtic book should either confirm the one name we have agreed on or offer a better alternative.

Hey, I used that book to pick a name for my daughter! I chose Bryna, named after my father Bryan. Nice, huh? It’s a great book, good luck. Thanks for the news about the marillier book, too!

    • Holly says:

Really? That’s cool. I love Bryna! Very pretty and a great tribute to your dad. The only name we have picked out is actually close to that – Brenna. :)

  9. Emily says:

Have you started SEER yet? Can’t wait to hear if you find a name you like for your little girlie in CELTIC NAMES. Lets try and get together soon so I can give your books back. Also, I have a little something for you for Christmas.

    • Holly says:

Hey Em, thanks for coming over. Seer is good so far. I’d love to get together but I’m super tired and stressed right now.
