The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

So I know Thanksgiving for us US folks and anyone else celebrating it is just around the corner but with all the different Christmas events popping up around the web and blogosphere, I wanted to mention some of the great ways to celebrate book giving and Christmas traditions online:

First, if you missed the deadline for the Book Blogger Holiday Swap, no fear! There are two other options I’ve come across. First, is SantaThing, another Secret Santa exchange for book lovers, sponsored by LibraryThing. A LibraryThing account isn’t required and it is open to all countries to which The Book Depository ships. Even if you’re not interested in participating you can help by suggesting books for others. Deadline for signups is November 29.

Second, for those in the US there’s a Christmas Book Exchange going on over at The Activity Mom. This is for those of you looking to add to your Christmas book collection and requires only $10 to participate. Deadline to signup is (tomorrow) November 20. (Thanks to Natasha on Twitter for the link.)

Lastly, the Virtual Advent Tour hosted by Marg and Kailana is going on once again, and it’s not too late to signup. It runs from December 1 through December 24 and features book blogger’s favorite Christmas traditions, memories, recipes, songs – you name it. There’s no limit to the tour stops per day so head on over and sign up -  the more the merrier. There’s also buttons and links to other holiday blogger events so be sure to stop by the Tour’s website.

Now I just need to decide which ones I’m going to sign up for…
