While writing my last coveting book cover post I came across these beauties by White’s Books that leave me asking how many pretty copies of Jane Eyre I can own before it becomes excessive. Because I want that one. Badly. There’s not one mediocre one in the complete collection though so I’d take any, or all of course. They are cloth bound with artwork created by leading illustrators. Sound familiar? The Penguin hardcover classics I already went off about and own the Jane Eyre edition of have these exact same credentials. However the White’s Books come straight from the UK and will cost (at least us Americans) much more than the Penguin editions when factoring in the pounds to US dollars conversion rate plus shipping. I think these books will remain a wish for awhile.
If you still haven’t had your dose of book art, stop by See Michelle Read, who is always finding stuff I instantly covet. She has a post up about gorgeous jewelry made from actual book pages and highlights of an art installation in Portland using retro book titles to form clever sayings.
Otherwise, happy weekend reading and blogging!

So pretty! So expensive! I want those books based on the covers alone. How many copies of Jane Eyre do you have? I say go for it! LOL I remember I bought signed copies of the first three books in the Queen’s Thief series from an indie bookstore near where MWT is and that the shipping cost just as much as the books. Yes, I am a fangirl!
Okay, I think with this most recent edition, we are just going to have to agree that you can never have too many gorgeous copies of JANE EYRE. It’s just one of those ones it’s okay to never stop buying.
I love these.
These are so very, very pretty. Wow. That would seriously put a dent in my book buying budget.
And thanks for the linkage!
Chachic, I think 3? 2 collectors copies and a paperback. Almost any price is worth it for MWT books. They’re just too awesome.
Angie, lol thanks for your approval! I don’t think DH would agree.
Michelle, you’re welcome and seriously. A huge dent. We can still admire them from afar.
