Maggie Stiefvater shared the cover for Forever (July 2011) on her blog today. Isn’t is gorge? The covers for The Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy have been some of my favorite designs of late. The beautifully subtle, monochromatic silhouette style matches the lovely writing and characters on the inside. Now you must see the complete trilogy side-by-side, which I have serious lust over:
Maggie also linked to an interview she conducted with the artist, Christopher Stengel. It’s worth a look if you’re interested. I’ve very glad he decided that these books needed to be set apart from all the photo covers out there.

I knew Forever was going to be red! Maggie has really been lucky when it comes to covers and of course, the font color of the text inside her books. I haven’t read Linger but I really liked Shiver.
It’s very pretty. We have the same designs in the UK, but the colour scheme is black, white and red instead to fit with the paranormal cover trend. I prefer the coloured covers.
I love it. Love that Sam’s on it. Cannot wait to read it!
Chachic, yes she really has been lucky! The red is so striking, isn’t it.
Jodie, I know, I’m the black/red/white cover is overdone.
Angie, ditto! It’s great to see Sam. It’s hard to pick my favorite out of the trilogy.
These covers look so good as a set.
