Vintage Covers + T-shirts

Anyone who knows me really well knows that I’m a sucker for appearances and looks.  Some say it borders on vanity. :) I felt very at-home studying art history.  I loved designing the interior of my house in a minimally modern style and would go to IKEA any day. I even secretly wished I’d studied interior or graphic design as I approached my bachelor’s graduation. So I couldn’t help but drool when I came across Out of Print Clothing, an online shop that collaborates with artists, authors, and publishers to create and sell t-shirts imprinted with vintage and out-of-print book covers.  Based on design and how I feel about the book itself, these are my three favorites:

Best of all with every shirt bought, a book is donated to the charity Books for Africa. Cool, huh? Which ones can you see hanging in your closet?

Oh, I know! I love that site. I gotta go with Catcher in the Rye. But my favorite is the Tale of Two Cities one over in the men’s section.

Very cool. I’ll have to go spend some time at this site. My birthday IS just around the corner and I think I might need to get something for myself ;)

Hope you had a fun vacation!

Angie, Catcher in the Rye and Tale of Two Cities are actually two of my favorite classics. Somehow both my copies managed to be lended and never returned… Oh well, I don’t mind. I love sharing great books even if it’s a permanent loan.

Michelle, you should. And look at the men’s, too, because there’s some different titles. Now that you mention it, MY birthday is just around the corner, too. I better start dropping some hints, or rather being pretty direct. DH is not great with just hints. :)

Oooh so cool! Looks like an awesome site but I wish they had more choices (why am I saying this, it’s not like I can ever order from here anyway). I think my favorite would have to be Hound of the Baskervilles, I love the color and the design.

Chachic, I almost put up Hound of the Baskervilles as one of my favs. I know, I felt the same way about more choices. Jane Austen or any of the Brontes would’ve been welcome. :)
